Moonboots takes on Music For Dreams
Music For Dreams, ‘Best Of’, Volume 4 is an 18-track CD and digital download featuring an inspired selection of electronica and Balearic gems for which Moonboots and the Music For Dreams label are both revered.
Moonboots, the nearly mythical DJ from Manchester and champion of all things Balearic, has been making waves on the electronica scene since his emergence in the early nineties. He runs Aficionado Recordings with Jason Boardman and is one of the foremost vinyl crate diggers in DJdom. Inspired by working at Eastern Bloc Record shop in Manchester for 10 years, his first gig was warming up for Dave Haslam at the legendary Hacienda and the rest as they say is DJ history.
Kenneth Bager is a global torchbearer of Balearic and electronica and the promoter of the Apple Flower Festival as well as the internationally renowned Coma Club in Copenhagen. Following the success of Music For Dreams ‘Best Of’ Volume 1 compiled by Phil Mison, ‘Best Of’ Volume 2 compiled by Jon Sa Trinxa and ‘Best Of’ Volume 3 compiled by Ravin, ‘Best Of’ Volume 4 compiled by Moonboots explores the evolutionary story of the Danish label and the growing demand for Balearic sounds.
This album contains exclusive tracks and mixes by Dr Baker, Bonnie & Klein, DJ Pippi & Kenneth Bager, The Swan and The Lake, Visti & Meyland, Cantoma, Mick Roach, and more.
Music For Dreams, ‘Best Of’ Volume 4 is released by Music For Dreams on download and stream on Friday 11th December.
