Red Bull UK's first step into the social innovation space with their global initiative Red Bull Amaphiko, launches with a series of regional weekend boot camps supporting 18-29-year-old social entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds. The inaugural UK boot camps take place in Glasgow [20/21 October],  Bradford [ 27/28 October] and London [3/4 November]. The UK launch comes in the wake of its successful roll out in Johannesburg and Baltimore.

Amaphiko, (pronounced Ama-pi-coh, which is Zulu for ‘wings’), first launched in South Africa in 2014. It is a global platform that is designed to support, develop and champion talented, emerging social entrepreneurs and has already supported over 120 social ventures through events and Academies and is home to more than 450 social projects. The UK launch will see up to 90 talented young social entrepreneurs selected to be exclusively mentored and developed by some of the brightest thought leaders and visionaries across all sectors of business and creative industries.

Red Bull Amaphiko Connect ‘weekend boot camps’ will link individuals with established social entrepreneurs who will demonstrate how to turn ideas into a viable and sustainable social enterprise model. From hard skills such as registering a business, putting together a business plan and fundraising, there will also be workshops on storytelling, how you tell your project’s story in a way that stands out and gets attention. There will also be lessons on how to build a brand, engage with audiences and manage digital and social content.
The participants will be up-skilled in personal development, from how to manage themselves on the entrepreneurship journey, to managing their project’s success. There will be innovators and specialists on hand such as Unltd, to deliver some of the practical learning modules on pathways to receiving funding and the legal knowledge needed.

If you need those extra wings to fund your ideas then Apply online at closing date for applications (16th September)
