Noah Carter is a legend on the Danish hip-hop scene. Starting out as something of an urban myth – with fellow rappers frequently name-dropping him in their own raps – he’s now well on the way to becoming Scandinavia’s biggest rap star with support from sites like High Snobiety, Hypebeast and Red Bull, as well as airplay on Beats 1.
Singles ‘Do You’ and follow-up ‘Come Alive' have cruised past 5 million streams apiece on Spotify, with debut mixtape Couch Dreams cementing his place as one to watch, and winning him 'Best New Act' at the Danish Music Awards.
This October Noah Carter starts his European takeover with dates in Manchester and London. On stage, Carter is a force to be reckoned with and has already blown away both festival and club crowds in Denmark this year following his breakout appearance for Red Bull Sound Select back in 2016.
”I’m super excited about my first UK shows finally happening – and both Manchester and London were my obvious choices as the first cities to play. The hip hop and urban scenes in both those cities are bubbling and vibrant so naturally I want to make my mark there,” the rapper explained further.
Rapping in English and with a brooding, melancholic sonic palate inspired by artists such as PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake, Noah Carter has the ability to deliver both heavy trap bangers and reflective, R&B-leaning anthems.
His second mixtape – following 2017’s Couch Dreams – dropped earlier this year. Like its predecessor, 2nd Demo was a showcase for Carter’s versatility as a rapper with standout cuts ranging from ‘Different Settings’ in which his introspective flows were paired with a heady, atmospheric beat – to full-on, powerhouse trap bangers like mixtape opener ‘Floatin’.
Noah Carter plays Manchester Soup Kitchen Tuesday 9th October and London’s Camden Assembly 10th October – tickets via Songkick.
