Red Bull drops six fyah boat parties this summer!
Tickets for Red Bull’s annual music odyssey boat parties dropped last Friday morning and sold out in a matter of minutes. For anyone who has been living under a rock, this event takes place on 30th June and consists of 6 boats sailing across the Thames, hosting lineups for an array of musical stylings:
1. The Forever Dancer
Captained by Denis Sulta, this boat depicts the best of house, techno and disco. The line-up includes artists like Larry Heard, Jocelyn Brown and Jayda G, so get your dancing shoes on!
2. The Wave
My favourite line up of the six, and the one I managed to get tickets for, The Wave depicts the gold of the rap scene. With the satiating beats of Steel Banglez, Hardy Caprio and Mostack this is definitely going to be a vibe.
3. The Transmission
Embrace the power of the underground on this boat hosted by Julie Adenuga. You’ve got AJ Tracey headlining so you know it’s going to be good!
4. The Boogie
Get your groove on and step into London’s jazz renaissance. Featuring artists like Peven Everett and Bugz in the Attic.
5. The Roller
Its old-school versus new-school; drum and bass and jungle tunes pervade the Thames with the legendary Goldie and B2Bs. Hosted by Kyrist, get ready to be in bass euphoria.
6. The Wine Up
Join the dots between Jamaica, the US and the UK with artists like Kranium and Equiknoxx.
There is clearly something for everyone in this iconic set of boat parties. Ticket holders also had the optional add-on for an afterparty on dry land, which I couldn’t refuse. Stay tuned for live reviews of the event.
