BBC Radio Interview with 2 Chainz
Speculative news about Georgia born rapper 2 Chainz and his six-figure price tag for a feature verse on a track has been confirmed during an interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra.
Never coy, the rapper was more than happy to drop why the $100,000 (roughly £60,000) was of course a modest amount for him to receive. When asked about the price, he interjected mid question with “you would be doing the same thing. Don’t look down upon me.” Clearly on our minds is who pays this small fortune, right? Don’t worry the quick thinking 2 Chainz satisfied our hunger for this knowledge with a sharp comment of “who’s gonna pay that for a verse? Your favourite rapper paid it – don’t even worry about it.”
Not leaving it there, the rapper broke down what the $100,000 was for… clearing showing us why he was value for money. Talking about the video appearance he’ll give “I’m gonna give you bars. I’m gonna wear fancy glasses you’ve never seen. I mean, I could help you.” He spoke of his two different outfits appearing on screen and not letting up, the last few pennies would be spent on something he brings himself. “You get me – you get charisma. You get the girls that’s gonna come to your video shoot ‘cause they know Imma be there!”
One of the latest collaboration’s that the highly laboured 2 Chainz has done is with UK hotshot Tinie Tempah. Tinie has been stateside for a while and has been getting his music out to his newer set of fans. I think we should break down the price for Tinie, eh?
Let’s see if we can break down all that Tinie would’ve had to pay to get Mr Chainz in his vid. Let’s start with the “bars”… roughly a solid £18,000 seeing as this should be the most important thing 2 Chainz brings. Fancy glasses could cost around £7000 and 2 Chainz undisputed charisma would cost at least a whopping £10,000. The price of the girls 2 Chainz would attract probably wouldn’t cost too much ‘cause if it did, we’d be questioning what sort of business were being run! Finally, 2 Chainz outfits – that would be of course, two different chains and a couple of wardrobe changes pricing up to around £34,000. Now, if my math is right, 2 Chainz would only be left with £1000 from the expenditure. It’s a wonder how the poor chap survives with such basic demands and his pocket change asking fee. Surprsingly though, 2 Chainz doesn’t make an appearance in Tnie’s new vid.
