It’s been a hot minute since we had some fresh material from Dabbla, Illaman and Dubbledge, the London based hybrid rap team otherwise known as Problem Child.
In our hip hop single of the month ‘What You Want?’, Problem Child invite the super swift UK barsman Orifice Vulgatron of Foreign Beggars fame down to the their dingy London warehouse for a few jars and a suitably friendly game of table-tennis. The video as directed by Slim Yearwood is set to a Sumgii produced, fully subterranean cut, with some super seductive ladies plagued by an odd fruit fetish confirming the pimptastic status of the tin-sipping brother from another, comedian Romesh Ranganathan, all while the Problem Child MCs bowl through regardless as per usual with their distinct and audibly diverse spitting styles.
Since Dabbla’s last release on High Focus Records, the ‘Chapsville’ mixtape with DJ Frosty, Potent Funk, the imprint started by Dabbla and his longtime friend and partner in crime, the Cult Mountain/Problem Child/LDZ producer-in-chief Sumgii, has begun to push out tracks on a regular basis.
The independent UK label are just starting to pop off, so keep your eyes peeled and ears to the ground with monthly releases expected to continue way into 2018 from Problem Child, London Zoo, not forgetting to mention Dabbla himself.
