Broke Boutique - Kinky Fashion Born from Boats, Caravans, and Trash
Gee Martin, born into the working-class in Peterborough has been living in caravans and boats all over the place. By the time she turned 18, she had her own caravan and lived on traveller sites all around England.
Her brand, Broke Boutique, comes from two principles: the first, using broken materials in order to recycle them in to highly sought after kink inspired harnesses; and the second, being that all her life she's spent being broke!
She says that her biggest influence has always been her nan, who's taught her everything creative, from sculpting, painting, upcycling, sewing, and everything else. It only made sense that she not insomuch entered DIY culture, as jumped into it, headfirst.
While she started with various festival gear, and decorative items, she's now found her niche, which is sexy 100% ethical harnesses. She gets all her recycled rubber from Norfolk. Her first posts to the warehouse community pages around London, lead her to selling out all her stock in a matter of weeks, and she took it from there.
6 Lashes Belt
Originally made to look like Furiosa's belt from Mad Max, once she put it on, she realised she looked more like Edward Scissorhands. The 6 Lashes belt is now her most popular product.
All Hallows Harness
Made for Halloween, the All Hallows Harness is the favourite she's made.
