RnB/Hip Hop | Friday 29th September 2017 | Ayo

Team Salut step out into the forefront, as artists in their own rights, with their brand new single ‘Hot Property’, which features Tion Wayne, Afro B and Eugy, and is set to be yet another game changer for the UK ‘AfroWave’ scene.

Backed by lush synth-keyboard arrangements, percussions and bass-heavy drums, Team Salut provide the perfect hybrid backdrop of afrobeats, UK rap and dancehall music, over which the trio and their friends shine through, to deliver a sure-fire hit!

With over 50 million plays already under their belt, co-signs from SpotifyBBC 1XtraChannel 4, and Boxpark, among others, a BBC Radio 1 A-list to their name, collaborations with the likes of PARTYNEXTDOORStefflon DonZAYNRita Ora and Emeli Sande, and production credits on some of the country’s biggest records, London-based artist/producer trio Team Salut have been reshaping the British music landscape and culture over the past 18 months.

While the likes of J HusKojo Funds and Yxng Bane have undoubtedly been at the artist forefront of the fast-rising UK 'afrowave' movement, Team Salut are, without question, one of its most pioneering behind-the-boards figures. Having produced some of its biggest hits - from Eugy and Mr Eazi’s summer smash ‘Dance For Me’, to Tion Wayne’s breakthrough record ‘Minor’, to Afro B’s ‘Stay Winning’ featuring Grammy Award-nominated rapper Wale and Sneakbo.

Speaking about the inspiration for their new single and how it all came together, Team Salut say, “‘Hot Property’ is all about having a good time and feeling special about yourself and we felt for our first release it’s important to collaborate with our extended family, and that’s why we brought Tion, who we recently worked with on ‘Minor’, one of our long-time collaborators Afro B, and Eugy, whose ‘Dance For Me, is one of our biggest records to date, on board for this one”.
