New Release: Bloc Party

The closest Bloc Party will get to hip hop, with the release of their latest track.
Bloc Party have just released their latest upbeat, pop-rock track ‘Ratchet’. This song is the first studio release from their expected EP The Nextwave Sessions, set and ready for August. The term ‘ratchet’ has come up frequently throughout the past years of hip hop music and so Bloc Party, with their predominantly pop-rock and techno-synth vibes, have incorporated this slightest bit of hip hop into their music where the band’s front-man and vocalist, Kele Okereke raps... in his own style. If this does not stun Bloc Party fans, then hopefully the wild music video will! ‘Ratchet’ is a great track which follows the awesome Bloc Party theme, keeping up the fun beats and awesome lyrics! The guitar solo three-quarters the way into the song really regenerates the song, keeping listeners interested and when the drums beat and the vocals start up again all you want to do is jump about the place in time with this track. “Just make it count” sings/Bloc Party-style raps Okereke, and this song totally counts. Get it in your music library and just wait for tracks alike up to August with the release of The Nextwave Sessions.
