House music is a constantly evolving genre music which requires artists to produce new sounds, loops and samples to keep their music sounding fresh. Snakehips are a duo who has done just that. With their remix of Bondax’s gold racking up over a million hits on YouTube the boys from London are certainly making a statement.
The individuality of their music keeps remix’s sounding good. The laid back and slow beat makes for perfect summer listening. One of Snakehips main qualities that set them apart is their use of vocals. In most of their songs the vocal element is what gives the song a new dimension. Their most recent hit On and On is a perfect example of this and is set to be an essential on every summer playlist. The duo know how to do every type of music as well , so whether its hip hop or jazz they attempt it and the Snakehips spin seems to work wonders. A more recent set at the world famous boiler room was a sign of their growing presence within the genre. The mainstream beckons for the duo and as long as they stick to their individuality they are sure to break out sooner rather than later
