Marc Jacobs at New York Fashion Week

We knew it was coming, we felt the psychedelic waves pour over us and the platform shoe creep itself onto to our feet and Mr Jacob’s just made it official the 60’s are swinging back.
Stripes, mini’s and clothes that can only be described as for the coolest, sexiest office ever strutted down the catwalk. With not a heel in sight the models reeked of sophistication and sass.
Jacob’s commented , Last season was very romantic, very fairytale: so this season I wanted to do something very brutal, very sexy, and very straightforward. We wanted the girls to have sex appeal without them being vulgar or out there. It was about coolness as opposed to an ass-up sex appeal.
And that they achieved. These effortlessly cool women make us want to crop our hair and draw on our lashes grab the nearest pair of Chelsea boots and head on down to studio 54. Twiggy is back and we are more than happy about that.
We’ve seen the start of this trend hitting our high-street stores with shift dresses in the windows of most stores but the question is how long until Topshop run out of Chelsea boots?!
