Missy Elliott releases new material

After seven years, Missy Elliott has returned with a short snippet of new material that has been posted online.
The track ‘9th Inning’ features long-time collaborator Timberland and is the first solo work from Missy since 2005’s The Cookbook, although she has featured on tracks with MIA and Katy Perry since then.
The 90-second snippet is only the first of Missy Elliot’s new material to be heard, as a second song entitled ‘Triple Threat’ is soon to be released. Both songs are thought to be included on Elliott’s next album, thought to be called Block Party.
Missy left the music industry back in 2005 due to illness but is thought to have recovered and has already begun performing again.
