2014 was the year that South Londoners Gavin, Duvall and Luke began really making waves in the music world.
Snapped up by Pete Tong’s FFRR imprint, 2015 looks set to be the year that Disciples go stratospheric with their new release on the label, They Don’t Know, coming out on February 22nd.
An inimitably catchy track with deeper undertones, They Don’t Know showcases the trio’s diverse backgrounds from in production, songwriting and arrangement to full effect. Yet more impressive is the group’s strong independence and stand-alone talent as an outfit – the deep, almost choral vocals are not the result of a guest vocalist or sampling, but Luke singing in the studio.
Packed full of earworms, They Don’t Know has been all over Radio 1 and championed by tastemakers Annie Mac and Pete Tong, and always gets a great reaction from listeners. The bouncing bassline is layered with deep chords from brass instruments, proving there’s more depth to this track than your average daytime UK house anthem.
Producer Justin Jay also just gave it the remix treatment; the deep, dark and sultry makeover is currently causing waves all over the blogosphere.
We can’t wait to hear more from these guys!
