Disciples drop 'One Mix' for Beats One

House | Thursday 4th February 2016 | Christina

After a colossal 2015 and two BRIT nominations to kick off this year, South London trio Disciples have unveiled their ‘One Mix’ for Apple Music’s Beats One.

Marking their first radio mix of the year, Gavin, Luke and Duvall have translated their underground roots and diversity as producers & DJs into their 60 minute mix, which reflects the trio’s tastes for resonating basslines and infectious vocal hooks.

Taking their time to cleverly craft the tracklist, Disciples have worked a diverse mix of big hits and underground groovers from the past few years into their mix. As well as a re-work of their own huge hit 'How Deep Is Your Love', the trio pay tribute to house history with Dominica’s ‘Gotta Let You Go’, a 1994 classic that experienced a revival last year thanks to Bicep’s edit, and the anthemic ‘Domino’ by Oxia. Signing off the 60 minutes is the bass-heavy, saxophone-sampling Format B remix of Raumakustik’s ‘Panther’, released last December on the duo’s own label.

Here's the tracklist in full:

1. Yotto – ‘Personal Space’
2. Disciples & Unorthodox – ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ (Remix)
