Lil Wayne in Turmoil; End of an Era?

All is not well at the Young Money Cash Money camp. Following the barrage of angry tweets from Tyga in October, it seems the label is also in danger of losing their most prominent member, Lil Wayne.
The seemingly inseparable bond between Baby and Wayne has broken as Wayne revealed he wants off the label via a series of tweets last Thursday. The tweets echoed Tyga’s sent in October claiming that the label hold music ‘hostage’ and he felt like a ‘prisoner’.
The news came as a shock given Wayne’s career-long connection to YMCMB but for all those who doubted the rumours, Wayne took to the stage in Brooklyn on Sunday and confirmed the tweets. He stated: "It's a f--ked up situation, but I will be out of it soon, and I do it for y'all”.
A further twist to the tale comes from Lil Wayne’s manager Cortez Bryant who appeared to laugh off the news telling TMZ, “We good. I'm smiling. I wouldn't be out at the club right now.”
With so many twists and turns it’s hard to know which way the story will unfold but we’ll be following it closely.
