The business of dreams

Other | Wednesday 17th February 2016 | Ollie

The time you use to work on your dreams is very important and how you approach this time is essential for success.

The business of dreams

What ever job you are in whether it be as a professional athlete, a shop owner or a musician the way you earn a living is dependent on how you run your business. This especially important when you are still working your way towards your dream whether it be signing with your favourite team, opening your own shop or inking your first record deal.

Taking the time to practice your craft is important but what is also overlooked is how you conduct and prepare yourself for when you are at work.

As with any job you have to foremost arrive on time, you have deadlines to finish your work and you have breaks to recharge so you can hit them. Enforcing these on employees increases productivity which is obvious, but its applying these to your dreams will help you tenfold - It’s the musician turning up to the studio on time and the football player not turning up to practice still hungover. Instilling an aura of professionalism before you reach that stage will put you ahead of your competition as you will know what is expected of you to reach success.

There will be times when you have to make sacrifices and put your dream before everything else such as with any dream you have to treat it like a business.
