Reading and Leeds Festivals are infectious; when you’ve been once, you will have to go again.
Entering its 43rd and 15th year respectively, Reading and Leeds Festivals return on the August Bank Holiday Weekend with a stellar line-up of iconic artists and bands intent upon making their mark on one of the most prestigious set of stages in rock history. American rockers Green Day have upgraded from last year’s secret set slot to headliner, along with Biffy Clyro who have made the rapid ascent up the running order as they prepare to deliver a headline set like none other. Perhaps most excitingly, Eminem is set to headline the Saturday evening, his first appearance at the festival since his last headline venture in 2001. Incredibly, all three headliners played in 2001, with Eminem a headliner, Green Day a sub-headliner and Biffy Clyro a minnow act, playing low down on the NME stage equivalent; how things have changed for them in 12 years! Embracing diversity, this year’s festival has a brand new layout and range of stages to accommodate a much broader range of music genres and artists for the crowds to enjoy. Weekend tickets have already sold-out but day tickets are still available if you’re quick to pounce!
