5 Of The Hottest Indie Tracks You May Have Missed This Week
1. The Naked And Famous - Hearts Like Ours
Like a huge smack in the face, every single instrumental layer on this track is designed to knock you for six. The band's sophomore album, In Rolling Waves will be released on September 17th, and with this in mind, it's destined to be huge!
2. White Lies - I Would Die 4 U (Prince Cover)
Earlier this week, White Lies performed one of my favourite covers of the year so far, as they toned-down Prince's hit 'I Would Die 4 U'. Unlike their usual hard-hitting, stadium friendly rock sound, the London trio mellowed the track out, creating a twinkling live gem in the process.
3. Summer Camp - Fresh
A summer anthem through and through, Summer Camp's 'Fresh' is a groovy, funktastic piece of infectious, retro-pop. What more could you want!?
4. Lolo - Heard It From A Friend
If I had to describe Lolo in three words, it would be 'Adele with attitude'. If you don't believe me, check out her stormy second single 'Heard It From A Friend'; it's brilliant.
5. Vancouver Sleep Clinic - Vapour
If you like Bon Iver, you are destined to love Vancouver Sleep Clinic. Like 'Holocene's long lost brother, VSC's 'Vapour' is a stunning, delicate song that's charming guitars, synths and vocals create a stunning, ethereal soundscape.
