GRID RECORDINGS BACK WITH MUST HAVE "HEAD NODDERS VOL 2 EP"

Returning from a 4 year hiatus that ended in the summer of 2017, the string of high quality output from Twisted Individual's Grid Recordings has been nothing short of phenomenal.
Releases from an arsenal of high profile artists including Damage Report, Need For Mirrors, Ray Keith and T>I have reaffirmed the label as one of the powerhouses of Drum and Bass music in the modern era. The imprints latest mission into the sonic battle zone comes in the form of “Head Nodders Vol 2” and certainly does not disappoint.
This blistering 5 pack of dance floor levellers contains material from some of the labels most talented producers and kicks off with the pure rinseout of "Rigor Mortis" by Twisted Individual himself. Shimmering metallic synths and hats grow into a vintage squelching Twisted style bassline that pumps rigorously over rolling drum loops creating a classic Grid Recording's vibe for our opening shot.
Next up is Damage Report, who burst onto the scene in 2013 and has continued to flourish since his excellent 2017 offering “Time Lapse EP” marked the labels return to the pinnacle of the scene. Here he returns for the Grid camp with his latest output “Infected Dog”. Space age chords and heavy kick drums build up into a meaty scything bassline that sweeps across the dance in typical Damage Report style.
Following on, Russian production maestro Prestige delivers the gritty “In Here”. Spine-tingling, distorted bassline pressure, barking glitch fx and skipping drums make for a downright filthy escapade.
Man of the moment T>I is next up to the table with “Skankfoot” which does exactly what it says on the tin! The gyrating drum loops, peppered with voice samples and percussion rolls, are all backed up by a super heavyweight bassline that will keep that one particular foot of even the most gawkish raver skanking away merrily.
Bringing our Grid Recordings musical quest to a more than fitting conclusion, label debutantes Gravit-E and Verdikt, who's shared talent in production combine to create the marching drums and tearing baseline marvel of “Riddim”, another track set to keep the raves rolling well into the new year and beyond.
