Bennicassim Festival 2011 Preview

Bennicassim, Spain’s finest rock and popular music festival is fast approaching, leaving music fans and critics alike eager to get over to the festival and kick off proceedings. Bennicassim has been running since 1995 and has been building a reputation ever since as one of Europe’s finest annual music celebrations bringing together an eclectic mix of artists with a focus on guitar based and electronic music.
Standout performers at the festival this year are The Streets, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, and Arcade Fire who are all headlining, as well as bands including Elbow, Mumford & Sons and Portishead. With such a fantastic collection of headliners the festival is bound to have a fantastic atmosphere especially given the fact that they all have had new LP’s out in the last twelve months, and are well renowned for putting on fantastic and equally spectacular headlining shows. In addition to the fantastic music on offer at Bennicassim the fact that it is besides a beach resort makes for splendid weather which is always an attraction for Brits looking to escape the rain.
This wonderful climate and surroundings along with a sensational line up makes Bennicassim a must go for festival lovers and holiday makers alike. Unfortunately the forty thousand camping included tickets have sold out but potential festival goers can still pick up four day tickets and separate camping tickets, but will need to do so quickly as they are certain to sell out soon.
