In case you haven’t heard, things have really been heating up between Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj.
It all started when Nicki Minaj reportedly dissed Remy Ma on her song Make Love, with Gucci Mane.
“Bitch I’m the greatest, no Kendrick and no Sia / I’m the iPhone, you the Nokia / Everybody know you jealous, bitch it’s so clear / Tell them bum ass bitches to play their role,” Nicki Minaj raps on Make Love.
She even claimed that she holds the title of rap royalty, as opposed to the “queen of rap” Remy Ma.
“You see, silly rabbit, to be the queen of rap / You gotta sell records, you gotta get plaques,” she spits.
When Remy heard of this, all hell broke loose as she came swinging with a seven-minute diss track over Nas's infamous instrumental Ether, and naming the track SHETHER. If you were ever to use an instrumental for a diss track, you can’t go wrong with Ether.
I would not be able to quote all the disses, so it would be better for you to listen to the full seven minutes of Remy just going guns blazing.
Nicki has yet to respond to the diss track, but did post on Instagram a slight jab at Remy on Instagram which has since been deleted.
The post read: “Powered by the Platinum certified ‘All The Way Up,’ Remy Ma and Fat Joe’s joint effort ‘Plato O Plomo’ debuts disappointedly at #44 on the SPS count. Its combined numbers on that chart came in at 11,158. As for the project’s pure sales debut, that figure sat at a shocking 7,978. Although, this was enough to lift its placing on sales-only chart to #25,” as she captioned with a “Yikes” and facepalm emoji.
Four days after SHETHER dropped, Remy released another diss track named Another One which didn’t have as much fire as the first diss, which even prompted a #ThatWasTrashRemy trend on Twitter.
This was then followed with Remy posting a NSFW image of Nicki Minaj on Instagram which has since been deleted.
We still await a response from Nicki or just the next chapter to this beef, but it’s safe to say that we are all here eagerly waiting with a popcorn at hand.
