Review: Two Door Cinema Club @ The Lexington
Thursday 4th July 2013 | Danielle
What a night. Two Door Cinema club have continued to climb to new heights in their career in the last few years, so to see them live in such an intimate gig was purely amazing. XFM hosted the gig on June 27th at the small quirky pub The Lexington in North London. The Invite only gig started the night with the boys taking the stage and opening up with tracks from their new album. They got the crowd jumping and singing along within a few tracks. The lads threw everything into their performance and the crowd where going crazy. I can honestly say this was one of the best gigs I've ever been too. With only four people stood between me and the good looking irish band it's still hard to believe how close i was to this amazing live music. Knowing they would be playing the same set that weekend at Glastonbury to thousands of people. They continued the awesome night with some classics, "I can talk" and "Costume party" as the crowd continued to dance like no one was watching. This was the first time i had seen the boys perform and i couldn't fault them, it was like listening to a radio, every tune in sync, every note hit. Something I have always loved about this band is the quirkiness of their music and unique vocal style, i can't wait to see what they whip up in the future!
