Nick Cave returns to the stage
Nick Cave is started to emerge back into music following a difficult year. Cave suffered a huge loss last year in the form of the death of his fifteen-year old son, Arthur, from falling off a cliff in Brighton.
Cave returned to the stage in his native Australia. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds played at the Derwent Entertainment Centre in Hobart, their first show in three years.
Cave also gave his first interview since the death of his son. In 2015, Cave said on Facebook status ‘We ask that we be given the privacy the family needs to grieve at this difficult time’. Recently Cave spoke to The Australian about the band’s return.
He spoke of One More Time with Feeling, the film made about Arthur’s death, saying “It was like we had done something good for Arthur, all of us, and had placed the memory of him up there in the stars.”
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will tour Australia, New Zealand and North America this year until June.
