Fabric #saveourculture exhibition
In the wake of London’s most consistent nightspot and UK dance music's cultural hub being shut down by Islington Council, Fabric have been running a series of events at collaborating venues with part of the proceeds going to the #saveourculture fund, with the goal of changing the Guidance under the Licensing Act by getting the issue raised in the House of Lords.

This event was hosted in House of Vans underneath the arches around the back of Waterloo train station. The charismatic venue, part skatepark, part cafe/exhibition space was the perfect choice for a night celebrating the many wonderful artists that have graced the legendary Friday FABRICLIVE nights through an exhibition of photos from the club’s resident photographers and of course, a line-up to be savoured by any UK rave enthusiasts.
Performers on the night included DnB kings DJ Hype and Ed Rush & Optical, both regulars at Fabric over the last 15 years, with Logan Sama and Sir Spyro reppin’ for the UK Grime scene. Special guests on the night came in the form of Calyx & TeeBee, with Plastician also popping by to drop some dirty UK bass.

Photographers featured were Sarah Ginn, Nick Ensing, Evie Williams, Emilie Pria, Anna Wallington, and Danny Seaton. The photos exhibited were made of shots of both the venues and some of the top performers to have graced the Fabric stages including the likes of Wiley, Kano and Nina Kravitz. The photos featured in the exhibition along with others will soon be available via the Fabric website.
The next FABRICLIVE night is on the 11th November up in Manchester in collaboration with Warehouse Party. Headlining the night will be Wiley, DJ Hype and Benji B, with a guest set for U.S rapper Danny Brown.

A special mention goes to the performers on the night who all played for no fee, along with all the Fabric staff and photographers helping to organise the night and doing so without being paid a penny.
