The album, Long Way Down of British singer songwriter, Tom Odell, made its debut at number one in the official chart this weekend.
The singer who was playing at Glastonbury’s John Peel Stage on Sunday, received the news that he reached number one in the charts just as he finished playing his set, which must have made his Glastonbury debut that extra bit special. Tom Odell has had an amazing year from playing at Burberry’s show during London Fashion Week and winning the Critics’ Choice 2013 BRIT leading him to have an array of festival debut appearances lined-up for him this summer.
Long Way Down was originally due to be released after his BRIT win however Odell took the choice to delay the album release after his first single ‘Hold Me’ failed to make the Top 40. The delay gave the chance to the public to get know the British singer. Odell is the first signing on Lily Allen’s label.
Tom Odell’s debut album Long Way Down is out now.
Make sure you catch Tom Odell on his tour across the UK this October.
