Northern soul outfit Smoove & Turrell Fight On
Smoove and Turrell have got their northern soul perfected – ‘Fight On’, one of the tracks from the band’s upcoming album, is disco-inflected, working class soul with a bit of grit. The social realism of the lyrics is a healthy dose of humanity when considered in combination with the radio-friendly pop of the record’s disco sound. It would be a necessary addition to a pop-oriented soul, funk, disco or indie set.
Smoove and Turrell’s new album, Crown Posada, is released on October 14 on Jalapeno Records. Stream 'Fight On' below.
