Sekuoia unveils 'Someone's Problem'

Other | Thursday 12th May 2016 | Christina

Danish producer Sekuoia releases 'Someone's Problem' via Nowadays Records, ahead of his debut album later this year.

The track is a gorgeous slice of electronica, full of smooth bass, atmospheric synths and ghostly chopped-up vocals - one to definitely get lost in on the dance floor. Having already released a string of acclaimed EPs and worked with the likes of Tomas Barfod, Sivas and MØ, the Copenhagen-based producer has put his new sound down to his ambition to progress from his early work: "I wanted to create a track that had more of an epic feeling than a lot of my previous tracks. I wanted to create an atmospheric dance track, that shuffled in just the right way and that could give a feeling of wanting to dance and get lost in the music, without taking anything else into consideration."

With an album to come later this year, Sekuoia has also announced a European tour for the autumn. Kicking off at the Studenterhuset Aarhus in his native Denmark on 29th September, he will hit major cities like Munich, Copenhagen, Paris and London (Birthdays, October 11th), before finishing at Hamburg’s Molotow on 29th October.
