Moresounds is pushing boundaries again

Drum and Bass | Wednesday 13th January 2016 | Arren

Beat Machine are on a dancefloor focused mission.

A new series of releases, Swinging Flavours, is a venture from Beat Machine Records that is directed to the floor. The project kicks off with Flowers from Simon/OFF, aka Sun People. The Disko404 owner has a reputation for his interesting take on electronic sounds, regularly breaking the mould and offering listeners a leftfield approach to dance music.

Flowers follows this trend, a piece of music that takes you far, far away from whatever it was you were doing with it's bewildering synths and elegant vocal sample. Taking it up a gear the Frenchman Moresounds (pictured above), has worked his magic over the original and created a version that boasts all the elements from the original but with added elegance and bliss.

The Ninja Tune associate, Moresounds, gives Flowers the serious treatment with ingenious structures and galactic style synths and breaks. In the remix you'll hear nods to all kinds of places in electronic music including jungle and trap. This avant-garde style is becoming more popular today, with acts like OM Unit and Ivy Lab questioning the norms of electronic music. Moresounds is another artist testing this modern approach and when it sounds this good, you can't help but love it.
