Mixtape Highlight: Mark Asari - Mark My Words

Mark Asari, formerly part of the R&B trio Encore, has finally released his highly anticipated solo mixtape entitled 'Mark My Words'. Having established himself within the UK music scene through working with names such as Tinie Tempah, Wretch 32, Chip and PW, so it's safe to say we can expect to hear good music from him. And mixtape didn't dissapoint.
The mixtape features 8 tracks with productions from the likes of Jay Weathers and Wizzy Wow and collaborations from the freshest of UK talent, Yungen and Ms. D. Mark My Words has a very natural feel to it, with the songs coming together to create a great compilation. He puts a range of songs on the mixttape which displays his diversity, From 'Circles' being about girl problems to "Never Had Your Love' being the complete opposite, embracing how much love he has for his woman, to 'Clockwork' filling us in on his music grind. Also, he pays homage to his R&B roots with sounds evident from the late 80's and early 2000's.
He has recently released a video for a song of the mixtape called 'Clockwork' featuring, Play Dirty member, Yungen. This ones a "winner"!
Overall this mixtape is a solid piece of work upon which Mark Asari can be proud of and build on. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled!
