Video Review: Wyclef Jean - "Bang Bang Bang"

After an unsuccessful bid to become Prime Minister of his native Haiti and also setting up his own charity Yele Haiti; Wyclef Jean has come back to making music. The former member of The Fugees has used his motivation for social change as the centre for his musical inspiration.
This new video, filmed on the streets of Chicago shows Wyclef walking the streets with a golden AK-47 shaped guitar. The gun shaped guitar is a message promoting music instead of gun violence. Wyclef talks about gun violence flooding through the youth of today like a plague and he uses Chicago as an example. The video portrays a clear, poignant message of ‘bury the guns and not the youth’ and at the end there is a small snippet of what is yet to come from Wyclef Jean and his “April Showers” mixtape. To me this is as exciting as when I saw “Where is The Love?” by The Black Eyed Peas, so check out the video below:
