Daft Punk Earn Their First Ever UK Number One

French electro duo Daft Punk entered the UK charts at number three last week with their new track 'Get Lucky', having only gone on sale two days earlier – making it their most successful UK release. Impressive standards for this day and age.
The collaboration with Chic's Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams entered the second competitive week in a strong position and didn’t fail to deliver. Racking up over 155,000 sales from Monday through til Sunday, they finally bagged their first number 1.
Rudimental took a step down to make way, and their track 'Waiting All Night' fell to number two with the god-awful Justin Beiber riding in third with 'That Power'.
Some smooth things to come from Daft Punk, but for now we leave you with their chart-topping hit.
