Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing

You might not be that familiar with Shakespeare’s comedy Much Ado About Nothing, but if you’re into sci-fi, horror or superheroes then you’ll definitely have heard of Joss Whedon, the man behind the television series Buffy and Firefly and also the man who made the recent Avengers film.
Well now Whedon, the man who introduced a whole generation to the Vampire slayer is now trying his hand at an altogether less violent story. Shakespeare’s comedy charts the romantic struggles of two couples as they fall in and out of love with each other. Whedon shot the film at his California home in 12 days, and it is filmed entirely in black and white. This stylish production looks like it will effortlessly draw out the eroticism and dark humour of Shakespeare’s play, making it as funny and relevant today as when the play was first written 400 years ago.
