Glastonbury - Final Tickets Run Dry
Thursday 25th April 2013 | Adam
Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has once again dropped his rake and spade to bring us another year of musical and artistic insanity within the Somerset farmlands.
Over 250,000 people are expected to come for the party of a lifetime as the festival returns for its 31st year. After a year off in 2012 to allow the land to 'recover', fans and performers, artists and the simple strange and crazy folk of the globe are more exited than ever to get mashed in a field with their pals and enjoy a week of music.
Talking about music...The Rolling Stones! Over half a century in the industry and these guys still got it. They will be proving exactly what they have got by headlining one of the worlds most most iconic stages – The Pyramid Stage.
Playing alongside the everlasting and chemically immune Keith Richards will be The Arctic Monkeys, Primal Scream, The xx, The Smashing Pumpkins, Azealia Banks and Tame Impala. Not enough? What about Public Enemy, The Weeknd, Sergio Mendes, Crystal Castles, Bastille, The Courteeners, Disclosure and Nas.
We could talk all day about the line-up and never get to the end of the talent this year, but you could probably go on google and find its entirety quicker than we could stick the kettle on. The ones above are just a handful of our favourites that will depressing the majority of the nation as they watch live highlights on telly come late June.
The final batch of tickets went out for release on April 21st, but don’t bother; they disappeared quicker than Tesco value turkeys at Christmas - selling out in just a few minutes.
Just some of the incredible acts at Glasto this year:
