If you haven’t heard of him already, let us introduce you to the latest name in raw hip-hop to be making a lot of noise; Danny Brown. Alongside Ab-Soul and Jhene Aiko, the Detroit MC recently gained over 3 million YouTube views on a track named ‘Terrorist Threats’. It questions the generic themes behind ‘new-school’ Hip-Hop, and undermines the generic topic of ‘money and hoes’.
The 32 year old Detroit artist released ‘XXX‘ in 2011, which was voted Spin’s hip-hop album of the year, and he’s about to make the breakthrough which will see him become a household name in the scene throughout Europe. Having played alongside A.$.A.P Rocky, Kendrick Lamar and the late J Dilla to name a few, Brown will be making a rare appearance in the UK at Parklife 2013. Check him out!
