Felix da Housecat’s newest release after a four year hiatus shows the object of his game is to win
After a four year absence following a successful career spanning some 25 years, the first new release from Felix da Housecat was hardly going to be a disappointment. 'Sinner Winner' is the brilliantly mad, standout return single for the DJ and producer from Chicago. With its powerful “preacher” vocals - “when I woke up this morning I heard a disturbing sound… are there any sinners out there?” – and an irresistibly catchy, bouncy beat which builds to a climax perfectly in time with the “sermon”, this is an unforgettable, totally original offering which showcases Felix da Housecat’s experience and skill as a producer. 'Give Me Body' is the accompanying track on the EP – perhaps not as explosive, but it keeps the tempo up with its upbeat disco vibes and has the power to keep a crowd dancing. With a new album on the way this year and several more EPs dropping on NYC label No Shame, Felix da Housecat could prove to be a real standout artist of 2013.
