Metal shoes: Metallica teams up with Vans

If you’re a die hard Metallica fan, then you need to get your hands on these. Or, should I say- get your feet on these? Each member of the legendary metal band has their own signature pair of Vans on sale now.
Vocalist, James Hetfield’s pair is a ‘Sk8 Hi Deconstruct’, acting as a spin-off of his favourite black boots. The design has Hetfield’s personal touch with his own illustration of a skull and cross-bones to go along with hex-bolt eyelets detailing.
Next up is drummer Lars Ulrich who based his design on his fondness for the laid-back style of Vans’ Era Laceless. The diamond plate from Ulrich’s snare drum is mimicked as part of the print on this design which also features a character by one of Metallica’s go-to artists, Dirty Donny.
Lead guitarist and songwriter, Kirk Hammett also puts out a casual pair with his guitar pick embellished, collapsible Slip-On Vans . Meanwhile, bassist Robert Trujillo got inspiration from his Aztec artwork -patterned bass guitars and adds a bright pop of blue onto his ‘Escuela’ design.
