Niki & The Dove - One To Watch!

Winners of the European Border Breakers Award 2013 are Swedish indietronic dream-pop duo Niki & The Dove. Combining off beat claps and fable-like lyrics into an easy dance blend or mellow orchestral sound is second nature to these guys, it’s easy to see why the pair were nominated for the BBC’s Sound of 2012 poll. Malin Dahlström’s lead vocals bare huge similarities to that of Bjork’s range and still keep intact a harmonic and suave feel like that of Ane Brun, it must be a European thing!
Forming in 2010, getting signed by early 2011, and then releasing a full feature album by the end of the year, and just to top it off with a tour at the start of 2013 the dove seems to be off and flying.
