It’s been almost a year since Florence + The Machine’s sophomore album, ‘Ceremonials’, was released to a wave of critical praise and commercial success, and now Florence is delighted to announce a new set of UK tour dates, including a date at The O2 – the world’s most popular music and entertainment venue – on Wednesday 05 December.
Summer 2012 has seen Florence + the Machine breathe life into festival stage after festival stage, both at home and abroad, conquering main stages at the likes of Reading & Leeds and Radio’s 1s Hackney Weekend, as well as headlining Friday night at Bestival. Her winter tour dates will see her take in some of the country’s biggest venues, including London’s 15,000 capacity The O2, which should provide a suitably grand backdrop to Florence’s spectacular live show.
Support will come from new US talent HAIM, who have been hailed by NME as a “tribute to the power of percussion and harmony”.
‘Ceremonials’, which debuted at no. 1 in the Album’s charts almost a year ago, has taken Florence + The Machine to heights they could never have imagined. The band also celebrated their long-awaited first number-one single this year with ‘Spectrum’ in July.
Tickets for The O2 show are on sale from 9am on Friday 14 September via www.theo2.co.uk or by calling 0844 856 0202.
All tickets are £29.50 + booking fees
