The Doors show to air on Facebook
Monday 3rd December 2012 | David
Live footage of the band’s 1968 Hollywood Bowl show will show in all its remastered glory on the social networking site.
Jim Morrison fans, rejoice: what is considered to be one of the group’s greatest live shows will be shown in Facebook on 5th December. Keyboardist Ray Manzarek has said that “the quality is stunning, mind-blowing”, and that the experience is like being on stage with the band.
Hosted by Qello, original camera negatives have been used to restore the footage, whist the sound has been remixed and remastered. Three unreleased tracks have resurfaced, giving fans access to the concert in its entirety for the first time.
For the incredible cost of just $4.99, viewers can watch the concert for 30 days, and also gain access to both a live Q&A session with Manzarek immediately after the premiere and The Doors Box Set. There will also be a 30 day pass to Qello’s entire back catalogue of HD concerts.
Tickets are available to buy from the Facebook Digital Premiere page. For a taster, check out the footage of ‘Light my Fire’ from The Doors’ European tour.
