Queen-B has confirmed that the documentary about her life will be aired on HBO in February 2013.
The documentary will not only star the singer, but she has also directed and produced the piece. The aim of the film is to give her fans true insight into the world she lives in and the person that she is. HBO president of programming, Michael Lombardo explained: “Everybody knows Beyoncé’s music, but few know Beyoncé the person.”
The Single Ladies singer released a statement about joining forces with the US network saying: “HBO has a history of pushing every boundary with class and authenticity.
“Some of my favourite shows are on HBO, so I am excited that my film will be part of its bold programming. This film was so personal to me, it had to have the right home.”
The film is said to be a mix of concert footage and an interview with the superstar herself: “Along with electrifying footage of Beyoncé on stage, this unique special looks beyond the glamour to reveal a vibrant, vulnerable, unforgettable woman.”
Throughout the film B “reflects on the realities of celebrity, the refuge she finds on stage and the transcendent joy of becoming a mother last year.”
Looks like we are going to get the chance to see fifty shades of Sasha Fierce as we’ve never seen her before, the documentary is set to air on 16th February.
I think it’s safe to say that B has more than left her stamp on the world of music, check out I Was Here bellow:
