Jack Daniel’s commemorate Frank Sinatra their way

Thursday 25th October 2012 | David

The ultra-premium Sinatra Select will be a fitting tribute to the singer and actor, who was a big fan of the brand.

Sinatra’s son, also named Frank, has stated that his late father would have been “flattered by the association”, adding that the whiskey was “a favourite part of [his] life”. Apparently the idea has been on the cards for some time now, and the beverage, bottled at 90 proof, is sure to be a hit. The top package will have a special gift box and accompanying book included with the litre bottle.

Jim Perry, managing director for Jack Daniel’s parent company, revealed that Sinatra’s children were very much on board with the idea. He also said that the special edition whiskey was appropriate for a man who was “one of Jack’s biggest and most loyal fans”. The company are fully confident that the drink will go down a storm and become a “cherished item” for whiskey lovers everywhere.

This follows the news that Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon has designed a guitar made out of Bushmills Irish Whiskey barrels. Music and whiskey do seem to be going together of late. So why not pour yourself a glass and let the man himself croon you a classic.
