We Are The Physics are releasing a new album! And its coming out soon! On October 22! Aaah!
Their debut album We Are The Physics Are OK At Music was released through This Is Fake DIY Records in May 2008, and was described as “all wide eyed blaring intensity”. It was, if not all blare eyed intensity widening. Imagine that your science teacher had an aneurysm, mated clinically with a calculator and 9.2366 months later little specimens emerged, half human – half psycho logic. You have We Are The Physics. They are really weird. And that is why I love them.
They appear a swathe of B-movie madness and sci-fi punk rock and blast their tunes out with a renegade fierceness in a thrash style similar to the Dead Kennedys. The Glasgow four piece (originally named 'We Are the Physics Club And Therefore Everything We Say Is Fact') take their inspiration from The Skids, Buddy Holly, Servotron and Ex Models and have performed in tours alongside 30 Seconds To Mars and Franz Ferdinand. Their new album Your Friend, The Atom comes out on 22nd October and is coming to blast cybernetic space jargon through your irradiated ears.
