Nicki's Death Threats Over Rap Lines

RnB/Hip Hop | Wednesday 5th September 2012 | Osh

Yesterday we filled you in on Nicki Minaj's bizarre alleged endorsement of Mitt Romney in her new verse on Lil Wayne’s Dedication 4. Well the twittersphere has gone mad since the song was released. Although Nicki has a huge following on twitter she has received a potentially equally large amount of death threats from those who are furious at her openly supporting the Republican. Despite the anticipation for Dedication 4, it seems the biggest topic of  conversation stemming  from the mixtape is Nicki's controversial verse. Minaj, the 29 year old singer/rapper has used twitter in the past to vocalise her economic and political ideas. Earlier this year she tweeted President Obama’s official campaign account on Twitter, venting about the lack of universal health care after actress Yvette Wilson died of  cervical cancer. Rapper Talib Kweli has commented on the issue by tweeting

I doubt Nicki seriously supports Romney. Her lyrics ain't political. She just wants y'all to talk about her & she winning cuz it's working!”
Nicki is yet to comment on the issue so who knows what she is trying to tell us through her lyrics but one thing's for sure if its a popularity contest Nicki Minaj is trying to win, it looks like shes not doing so well right now.
