Great news for indie fans attending the festival - a last minute substitution of the ex- N-Dubz rapper, for the Midlands band the Charlatans.
The rapper announced that he has pulled out of the festival taking place this weekend in Hylands Park, Essex and Weston Park, Staffordshire and was due to perform on the 4Music stage.
The indie five-piece have stepped in to fulfil the space left behind by the rapper and will look to showcase the band's 11 studio albums which have all charted in the top 40.
Formed way back in 1989, The Charlatans found cult success in the indie world with their debut single ‘Indian Rope’ and have had a rough yet interesting road over their career. For example former member Rob Collins was charged with armed robbery of an off-licence in 1992.
Through some of them may be criminals, the Charlatans are still a welcome addition to V festival especially when compared to Dappy.
