Usher's first performance after tragedy

In the aftermath of the heart-breaking death of his stepson Kile Glover, Usher made a moving return to the stage in his first gig after the tragedy. He performed in a charity event in New York along with other big names including Sir Paul McCartney and an impressive Whitney Houston medley performed by Jennifer Hudson. The event raised over 2 million US dollars for the Apollo Theatre in New York.
The Climax singer made an touching speech at the event, “For all the hard times, you can’t do it without your friends, so I just want to toast a second? Thank you for allowing me to share this incredible moment with you…” he said according to the New York Post.
Kile Glover, the son of Usher’s ex wife Tameka Foster was critically injured in Georgia when a jet ski struck him in the head. He was rushed to hospital but doctors finally concluded he would never recover from his injuries and switched off the life support.
The incident took a massive toll on the singer, and he was able to pull off yet another engaging show.
