Introducing…Sweet Valley
To take on the World would be something, and Wavves frontman, Nathan Williams, appears up for the challenge. Ahead of the eagerly anticipated third album from the surf-punk foursome, Nathan and his brother Kynan have journeyed further off shore for their side project, Sweet Valley. Stay Calm, set for release via Brooklyn-based hip-hop and electro label, Fool’s Gold, provides an aesthetically deviant instrumental mix-tape of distorted beach-pop USA classics, looped exotic guitars and hip-hop familiar synths. The production duo has successfully provided a soundtrack for sun-infused beach trips; holiday gallivants, or at least provided momentary escapism for us Summer-deprived Brits.
Debut release ‘Total Carnage’ is out on 7th August.
