Snoop Dogg turns Lion with new reggae LP

Snoop Dogg is set to release his first reggae album, called Regeneration, under new name Snoop Lion. The blunt-smoking rapper should take to this new genre nicely and has worked with Major Lazer producer Diplo on the album. Earlier today he tweeted, "sendin the positive vibes all around!!! jahh!!! rastafari!!!" along with a link to the first track release, La La La (which you can listen to below).
The song sees Snoop singing in attempted Jamaican patois, backed up by sultry female vocals. La La La manages to convince listeners of its credibility as a genuine reggae song with it's use of jaunty guitars and tropical sound, sending you far away to a porch somewhere in Kingston sipping on rum in a foggy haze. Here's hoping the rest of the album will continue in the same vein.
