Ex Co Op Man Is Real Life Tarzan

A Manchester supermarket security guard has moved to Africa to live as a real- life Tarzan in the jungle.
DeWet Du Toit, 24, spends his days eating insects, swinging through trees and has swapped his uniform for a loin cloth. He lived in Namibia as a young boy which is where his obsession with Tarzan began. He said that despite people thinking he’s crazy, he is like Tarzan in so many ways. "This is what I was born to do."
He said he spends more time with monkeys, crocodiles and zebras than he does people. His best friend isn’t even human but an elephant called Shaka. Unlike typical lads his age he said "I'm not the kind of guy that loves partying. I certainly never get drunk." Instead, he prefers to eat berries and fruits in the jungle.
Du Toit divides his time between the jungle and his parents home in George, South Africa.
