Snoop I Did It Again

The prize for the most random obscure and downright bizzare amount of celebrity endorsement goes to Snoop Dogg AKA Snoop Lion.
Snoop dogg has clearly shown that he has no shame in what his name is attached to when it comes to top dollar product endorsement. However, there comes a point when concern hits as to how bizzare advertising can be. Don't get me wrong I love Snoop Dogg, but his diverse cash in hand ad deals get me confused as to what advertising actually is? I don't believe for one second that snoop dogg use british based company ‘moneysupermarket.com’ So why he gave his face and his song ‘What’s My Name’ to the insurance broker I can’t quite understand.
And isn’t the whole point of car insurance is to not drive around like you’re in GTA. There is nothing that makes sense in this advert why is the dude not even in a car? why are all the gangsters black? Who is Phil?
Snoop even sold another of his songs ‘Drop it like its hot’ to change it to ‘Pocket like its hot’ for american microwave cheese things 'Hotpockets.'

Aswell as selling a plethora of crap I think its safe to say hes over sold it. All of these endorsements are for an undisclosed amount. So who knows how much of his $150 million worth is down to record sales or corporate deals.
He has also done product placements for weed, tampons, librarys, independant art projects, poverty ridding causes, and books. Wish the last ones were true, because Snoop endorsing things with purpose might actually change a kid or two. But for companies that can afford it, Snoop Dogg can make almost anything cool. Want proof of the power of celebrity endorsements? Hits for ‘moneysupermarket.com’ shot up by 40% since the adverts release in January. I can’t say snoop has no moral integrity but he is a hoe.
