Quite inspirational quotes aren’t they? Those last lines inspired the values of this upcoming duo, Dora Martin, who aim to make you travel through their lyrical and soulful songs.
Dora Martin is, basically, the emergent combination of two solo artists, Jermaine Riley and Cherri Voncelle, producing exactly what you would call rhythm and blues.
Jermaine and Cherri form together a Black Music association, they reach and touch everybody with their songs and their performance on stage. Performance perfected to the tiniest detail, so to illuminate the whole show in your eyes as well as the plus of soulfully healing your ears.
Their universe relates to breathing hope to growing dreams, staying strong, as strong as a “Soldier” struggling. Yet, it relates also to romantic relationships, or just friendly strong relationships. That’s what you notice with covers, such as “From Time/Mine” or “Somewhere In Love”.
Skyline, one of their bigest releases, reflects their inspirations (St Augustine’s quote), as far as travelling and passing boundaries are concerned, daring to face your fears. Plus, you’ll notice another romantic metaphor all through the song.
